Lisa LeRoy
I chose family law because the well-being of children and families is close to my heart. I believe in the capacity of parents to work together following a separation to identify their interests and needs and the best interests of their children. Having represented parents and children in custody disputes, I’ve seen firsthand the emotional, physical and financial stress of litigation on families.
I am committed to finding out of court solutions whenever possible. As your family structure changes, it is essential to continue to provide continuity and stability for your children. If this resonates with you, I would be delighted to work with you to build and strengthen your co-parenting relationship and find a plan for your family that is most in line with your interests and values and in the best interests of your children. I serve my clients in French and English.
Legal Experience:
Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2014, I have over 11 years of experience in family law.
After articling in a large Quebec law firm, I worked in private practice at a small family law firm where I represented parents and children before the Superior Court and Court of Quebec in divorce, custody, child support, relocation, parental authority and youth protection cases. Following this, I worked for the Info-Separation program at Info Justice, providing premediation services and legal information to self-represented litigants in family cases. I am delighted to offer family mediation and the drafting of joint agreements at Family Mediation & Agreements NDG.
